Clothing during the session is the easy part. What to wear for an outcall massage is really a question about the door: who might see you open it, whether you have to go down a shared stairwell to let the therapist in, and what you will put back on over oiled skin once she has gone.
Here is the sequence, from the confirmation to the goodbye.
01 · If you have to go down to the street door
Many older Amsterdam buildings have a street door that cannot be released from upstairs, or a buzzer that does not reach the top floor. If you will be going down to let her in, dress properly. Trousers, a top, shoes or slippers you can walk in. A shared stairwell is a public space for the few minutes you are in it, and a neighbour coming home at 23:00 should meet nothing unusual.

02 · If the door opens straight into your flat
When you can release the street door from inside and meet her at your own front door, a robe or loose clothing is fine. Stand back from the doorway as it opens, so the landing sees an open door rather than you in a dressing gown.
If your front door opens onto a gallery walkway or a landing shared with a neighbour's front door, treat it like the stairwell and dress.
03 · The first minutes inside
Stay dressed, or robed, through the practical part. Payment is settled first, the format and the room are confirmed, and the bathroom is pointed out. It is easier to count notes or tap a card with clothes on, and it keeps the start of the booking unhurried.
Something easy to take off saves fumbling later. A robe is ideal. A loose shirt and soft trousers work equally well. Skip anything with a lot of buttons or a tight belt.
What to wear for an outcall massage during the session
Very little, and exactly as much as you are comfortable with. Her sheet goes over the bed first, and towels arrive in her bag. How much you keep on is your decision and can be stated in a sentence. A few items are better removed whatever the format:
- Watches and bracelets. Oil works its way under straps, and metal edges catch.
- Rings and necklaces. Put them somewhere you will see them again, not loose on the bed.
- Glasses. On the bedside table, folded, well away from the edge.
Long hair benefits from a tie, since oil in the ends is tedious to wash out at 01:00. Clothes go on a chair rather than the floor beside the bed, where they would be in the way.
Timing the change
Get changed before the window opens rather than when the text arrives. A client halfway out of a shirt when the buzzer sounds ends up opening the door in whatever state the buzzer found them. Ten minutes after the confirmation is a good moment: robe on, clothes on the chair, done.
Go easy on scent. A strong aftershave or perfume mixes with warm oil in a small room and lingers in it for the whole session. A shower with plain soap leaves you smelling of nothing in particular, which is ideal.
04 · Cold floors and warm rooms
In winter, a pair of slippers by the bed matters more than anything you wear. Tiled bathroom floors and old floorboards are cold, and a walk to the shower in bare feet halfway through a session is not pleasant. Put them where you can step into them.
In summer, the opposite problem applies, and a thin robe is plenty.
05 · Afterwards
Oiled skin marks clothes. If you are not showering straight away, put on an old T-shirt or the robe, not a good shirt. Silk, suede and light-coloured fabrics are the ones that suffer.
For the goodbye, the same rule as the arrival applies. If she lets herself out through a door that opens onto your own hallway, a robe is fine. If you would need to accompany her down to release a street door, dress again first. Better still, check before she leaves whether the street door opens from inside without a key, which most do.
What nobody expects you to do
Nobody expects special clothing, new underwear, a shave or a change of sheets. The apartment preparation checklist recommends a shower beforehand as a comfort, not a requirement. The rest of the half hour before the knock is better spent doing very little.
The honest summary: dress for the stairwell, robe for the room, keep an old T-shirt for later. Everything between those three moments is up to you.
