WhatsApp booking is the only way this service takes outcall massage requests, alongside the same arrangement on Telegram. There is no website form, no phone line and no app to install. For most visitors that is an advantage, because WhatsApp is already on their phone and already works across borders. It also means the thread matters: it is the booking record, the directions, the payment channel and the arrival alert all at once. This guide walks through setting up, writing the first message, what the reply contains, how to share a location, how to keep the chat private on your phone, how to handle deposits safely, and when Telegram is the better choice.
Why a chat thread and not a phone call
A written thread has several practical advantages for a visitor. It is quiet, so you can book from a hotel lobby or a restaurant without being overheard. It is written, so every detail agreed, the time, the length, the therapist and the total, is on your screen to check later. It works on hotel wifi, so a foreign SIM with expensive roaming is not a problem. And the replies are written in English. A phone line offers none of those things, which is why there is no phone line.
Using WhatsApp with a foreign number
Your WhatsApp account works in Amsterdam with the number you use at home. You do not need a Dutch SIM card, and messages sent over wifi cost nothing. If you have bought a local or travel SIM for data, keep WhatsApp on your usual number; changing the number inside WhatsApp is unnecessary and can cause confusion. The journal piece on booking without a Dutch SIM card covers data, wifi and dual-SIM phones in more detail.
One practical tip: make sure your phone can receive messages when you are away from the hotel wifi, or plan to be inside when the confirmation and the arrival text are due.
WhatsApp booking: the first message
The opening message needs four facts, in any order: where you are, when you want the therapist, how long for, and whom you would like. A single line is enough:
Hotel near Rembrandtplein, 22:30, 90 minutes, you choose.
You do not need to send your full name, your room number or a photograph. Room numbers and exact entrances follow after confirmation. Keep the first message in text rather than a voice note; text is read faster and leaves a clear record of what you asked for.
What the reply contains
The reply comes in the thread. The reply confirms whether the time is possible, names the therapist, and gives the arrival time, which for a central address is forty to sixty minutes after confirmation. If you named a therapist who is not working, the reply says so and suggests alternatives. The booking exists only once you reply to confirm. If your message shows two ticks and no answer for a while, send one short follow-up; repeated messages do not speed anything up.
Sending the address and a location pin
After confirmation, send the exact address as text: hotel name and room number, or street, house number, floor and the name on the bell. WhatsApp also lets you share a location pin. A pin is useful in newer districts where several buildings share one street number, or for a houseboat on a long quay. Send it in addition to the typed address, not instead of it, because pins can drift by a building or two. The journal article comparing pins and typed addresses explains when each one helps.
Avoid sharing a live location. A single static pin is all that is needed, and it keeps your movements private.
Keeping the thread private on your phone
WhatsApp shows message previews on the lock screen by default. If other people might see your phone, switch previews off for WhatsApp in your phone's notification settings, or mute this one chat. You can also archive the chat after the booking so it no longer appears in your main list, or delete it completely. Disappearing messages are another option, though many clients prefer to keep the confirmation until the session is over. The journal piece on booking privacy on your phone lists the settings step by step for both main phone systems.
Deposits, and how to recognise a genuine request
Most bookings are confirmed by a 50% deposit: a first booking with the house, anything booked more than 24 hours ahead, overnights, two-therapist bookings, sessions of three hours or more, airport-hotel visits and peak dates. It can be sent by card, through Revolut or Wise, or in crypto. It is never requested by bank transfer, PayPal or cash.
Payment details arrive only inside the same confirmed thread you have been writing in, after the booking has been accepted. They never come from a different number, a different app or a message that appears before you have confirmed anything. If you receive a payment request that does not match those conditions, do not pay it; write in the original thread and ask. Never send card numbers, security codes or photographs of cards in any chat. If you cancel, the deposit follows the notice scale, and the cancellation policy explains that scale and the single free date change.
During the wait and at arrival
Keep WhatsApp notifications on sound for the arrival window. The therapist texts you herself when she is a few minutes away. If you need to change a detail at this stage, such as a different entrance or a lift that is out of order, write it in the thread immediately; it reaches her before she reaches your door. If an unusual delay occurs on the route, the thread tells you before the original time passes.
WhatsApp on a laptop or a shared tablet
WhatsApp can be linked to other devices, such as a work laptop, a home computer or a family tablet. Every chat on your phone then appears on those screens as well, including this one. If you use linked devices, check the list in WhatsApp's settings before you book, and log out of any device that other people can see. The same applies to cloud backups on a shared account. For many clients the simplest solution is to book on the phone alone and archive the chat afterwards.
Group chats and booking for someone else
Do not add the booking thread to a group chat, and do not forward confirmations to friends. If a group staying together wants to book several sessions, one person should handle the thread and list the rooms, times and lengths clearly. Booking on behalf of a friend who will be the client is possible, but the friend must be 21 or over, must be at the address, and must agree to the booking; the room must be his or hers alone for the session.
Etiquette in the thread
- Write in short, clear lines. Long paragraphs slow the reply.
- Answer confirmation questions promptly, since the therapist cannot set off until the booking is confirmed.
- Do not send voice calls; they are not answered, and a text reaches a person faster.
- Do not send explicit messages or images. The thread is for logistics.
- If you change your mind before confirming, a short no thank you is appreciated.
When Telegram is the better choice
Telegram works in exactly the same way: the same four facts, the same reply time, the same deposit rules. Some clients prefer it because they do not use WhatsApp at home, because they like Telegram's built-in translation for reading replies, or because they keep a separate app for private arrangements. Choose one app per booking and stay in it, so the whole record is in one place.
After the session
Nothing arrives in the thread after the booking unless you write. The house sends no promotional messages and makes no follow-up calls. If you want to book the same therapist again later in your stay, write her name in the same thread; the earlier messages save you repeating your address. As a returning client, a same-day booking of one or two hours can be paid entirely at the door, which makes the second WhatsApp booking even shorter than the first.
The figures, in the thread and on the profiles
The rates themselves live on each therapist profile, not in the chat. A couple with one therapist, or one client with two therapists, pays twice the single hour. The confirmation always states the total for your booking, and the deposit and balance where they apply, so the thread is the only place you need to look. Keep it until the balance has been paid and the therapist has left, then archive or delete it as you prefer.
