Balance on arrival: cash, card or crypto

Most bookings involve two payments. The deposit comes first, electronically, before she sets out. The balance comes second, in person, once she is through the door.

How much

On a deposit booking the balance is precisely the other half. Three hours leave half of the three-hour figure for the door. One client with a pair of therapists for two hours leaves half of the pair figure, which comes to two base hours.

On the single booking that carries no deposit, a returning client's one- or two-hour massage booked for today, the balance is the whole fee for the rung booked, whether one hour, ninety minutes or two.

Three ways to settle it

• Cash. Euros keep it simplest. Dollars, pounds, francs and other major currencies are accepted too, and the exact amount in that currency is confirmed to you in writing before she sets out; the euro figure stays the price.
• Card, taken when she arrives.
• Crypto. If you intend to pay the balance this way, mention it on the thread ahead of time.

When

Straight after she arrives, before anything else. Settling first means the rest of the visit runs without interruption and nobody has to think about money again.

Count cash before she rings rather than while she waits. At three in the morning a cash machine is a walk nobody wants, and that exact problem has its own note, paying at three in the morning.

What it is not

The balance is not a tip, and the figure is not reopened at the door. It is the fee already agreed in writing, less whatever was paid ahead. Nor is it a sign that nothing was due in advance; on most bookings, half has already been settled.
